Twitter is a great marketing tool for small and large businesses alike. There are so many ways to use this awesome social networking website that a ton of businesses still do not take advantage of. Well I am here to give you a few ideas as to how you can market through Twitter, and receive new leads, customers, and followers for your business!
I want to share this story with you and use it as an example to what can possibly happen when you fight for what you truly believe in.
Some of you may have already heard that our twitter account was suspended due to suspicious behavior. It’s true. Our main account, @Realtalkweb was shut down. We were asked to re-review twitter’s policy and guidelines and was advised that any kind of suspicious activity is not tolerated!
@Realtalkweb is the hub for our weekly network campaign. Most of our activity is new tweeps following everyday. This posed a risk to our projects and showed us as a potential threat to our followers.
Livid, I contact twitter and asked them to reinstate account. No answer from them. I waited several days to contact them again. In the meantime, RealTalkWeb~ThruSocialMedia resorted to our secondary twitter account. We informed everybody what happened and trusted they’d understand. Still no word from twitter so they were contacted again. This time we raised our voices a little and ‘demanded’ our account be reinstated. We insisted that we were not spammers, nor our activity should be deemed suspicious.
We waited for a reply. By the end of that week, we received word from a twitter correspondence that our account will be fully reinstated! Excited, we shared the news with everyone and learned something in the process.
- Never give up ~ fight for what you believe in
- Campaign until you get results
- Always, always follow up ~this shows that you are serious about your cause
Please use our story as an example and an inspiration that change starts with you!
Do you have a story like ours you wish to share? If so, post it here!
